You should always check the box to look for grease, cheese spots, or food crumbs. You can remove all the food remnants by hand. At some areas greasy areas of pizza box can be problematic so its better to separate them.

2. Cut the clean parts

You have to tear off or cut down the clean parts of the pizza box (cardboard without grease or cheese marks)

3. Compost the greasy parts

Now that you have a separate portion of clean and unclean pizza box cardboard, you may submit the food-soiled cardboard for composting if you have a composting facility nearby.

4. Flatten the box

First cut out the cardboard of the pizza box in different shapes, like a square, or rectangle, with zig-zag or straight cutting.

Now when you have a cut shape, you can paint it in beautiful colors or you can cover it with paper.
