Quickly figure how many pizzas, slices, sides and the estimated cost optimized for mobile.
Tip: For varied tastes, order a mix of vegetarian and meat pizzas matching the Veg ratio above. Round up for safety leftovers are better than hungry guests.
Ordering pizza for a group is easy to get wrong: order too little and guests go hungry, order too much and you pay for boxes of leftovers. This calculator takes the guesswork out of planning a birthday, office lunch, game night or school event. It combines your guest count, the mix of adults and children, how hungry people are and the pizza size you plan to order, then rounds up to whole pizzas so everyone gets enough. You also see the vegetarian and meat split, optional sides and drinks, and an estimated total cost, so you can set a budget before you call the pizzeria.
Example: 6 adults and 2 children with an average appetite need 22 slices. With Large 12″ pizzas (10 slices each) that rounds up to 3 pizzas, leaving 8 spare slices.
For 10 adults with an average appetite, plan on about 30 slices. That is exactly 3 Large 12″ pizzas (10 slices each), or 3 Extra Large 14″ pizzas (12 slices each) if you want a few spare slices. Add one more pizza if the group is very hungry or pizza is the only food.
Most adults eat 2 to 3 slices and children under 12 eat 1 to 2. Teenagers and very hungry guests can eat 4 or more, so use the appetite setting to adjust.
Large pizzas are almost always better value because their area grows faster than their price. Smaller pizzas help when you need many different toppings. Compare prices with the Pizza Size & Price Calculator.
Match your guests. If you are unsure, about 30–40% vegetarian pizzas works for most mixed groups. Set the veg ratio in the calculator and it splits the order for you.
Yes. Rounding up by one pizza costs little and avoids running short. Leftover pizza keeps well; see how long pizza lasts in the fridge.
